Full-Stack Product Engineer

NYC (On-site) · Full-time

Overview

We're hiring a full-stack product engineer who can own features end-to-end, from data models and APIs through polished interfaces used by customers every day. You'll work closely with our core engineering team to turn complex infrastructure problems into simple, intuitive product workflows that make life easier for software teams.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Build user-facing features across the stack, with a slight emphasis on backend systems and data flows
  • Collaborate with platform and infrastructure engineers to turn internal capabilities into customer-ready product surfaces
  • Design, implement, and launch new functionality end-to-end: schemas, services, and React-based frontends
  • Partner with design to refine interaction patterns and raise the quality bar on UI polish
  • Take loosely defined initiatives, shape them into clear milestones, and drive them to completion
  • Talk directly with users to understand their workflows and iterate quickly on product fit

Qualifications

  • 7–12 years of professional experience in full-stack roles, ideally in product-focused teams at high-growth startups
  • Deep hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Postgres, and a modern backend framework (NestJS or similar)
  • A track record of owning projects from discovery to rollout in fast-moving environments
  • Evidence that you think like a product engineer: you care about the “why,” not just the “how,” and ship features users truly value
  • Comfort leading cross-functional work with design, infrastructure, and other stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, containers, orchestration, or infrastructure as code)
  • Background in developer platforms, internal tools, observability, or infrastructure-heavy products
  • History of working directly with customers or external users to shape product direction
  • Previous experience as a tech lead or de-facto project lead on critical initiatives

How You Work

  • You see yourself as a builder who enjoys taking ideas from rough concept to production
  • You're energized by being in-office with your team and collaborating in real time
  • You like the pace and ambiguity of early-stage companies and naturally seek out zero-to-one problems
  • You enjoy working with people who care about systems thinking, quality, and long-term maintainability
  • You're comfortable iterating quickly, running experiments, and refining based on feedback
